Introducing Surplus Exhibitions

Why are we organizing Surplus Exhibitions?

At FG, we constantly strive towards becoming a more environment-friendly label. Actively experimenting with sustainable alternatives for a myriad of processes, we've worked on a number of initiatives over the past few years that have taken effect in the course of time. Making use of natural dyes as much as possible, cutting down usage of water and re-using wooden blocks with minor variations are some of the practices that we inculcated early in our journey to do our bit.

In order to limit fabric wastage, we began using our upcycled fabrics to make cloth carry-bags. Bearing in mind the need of the hour, the manufacture of carry-bags was replaced by cloth face masks in 2020, in addition to donating our older inventory to charitable institutions.

In a bid to consolidate our efforts of reducing our ecological footprint, we've added a new activity to our list-  organizing exhibitions of our 'Surplus' styles for you, our FG family, in bigger quantities than ever before.

What is a surplus product?

In the intricate process of hand block-printing, embroidery-work and stitching, variations are likely to come into existence. These irregularities are the hallmark of all handmade products and give each style a unique identity. Post-production, each FG garment undergoes our rigorous 7-layer Quality Check. However, despite being handcrafted with the same amount of love and care, certain pieces miss out by the slightest of margins owing to the artisanal nature of their creation. These garments become part of our surplus stock.

Surplus does not mean defect. It’s only an indication that these garments might have minor inconsistencies like warp and weft, distressed printing or minor colour variations. These garments are likely to last just as long as any of our other pieces.

When is our next Surplus Exhibition?

We're organizing another Surplus Stocks Exhibition in our Ludhiana, Punjab.

This 2-day exhibition (July 18 & 19) will have deeply discounted surplus products available at upto 60% OFF
