The search for the box of fairy lights and diyas at home is underway. Mithai shops are busier than ever. Decks of playing cards are seeing the light of day again, quite literally. The excitement in the air is palpable.

With every passing sunset, we inch closer to the most magical time of the year. It can only mean one thing. It's time.

A Hindi term meaning sweet, we believe ‘Shirin’, our Festive Collection ’22 embodies the spirit of feasts, festivities and fasts. Crafted by seasoned hands and full hearts, each style embodies the radiance of the artisans who manifest it into existence.

Showcasing Kurta Sets and Sarees for women as well as Kurtas and Nehru Jackets for men, our Festive ’22 is based on a wide colour palette. With a wide array of choices for those entertaining family lunches and the never-ending soirees alike, each style emanates a sense of celebration.

In terms of the crafts on display, our Festive ’22 styles are embellished with:

Gota Work

Predominantly thriving in Rajasthan, Gota work makes use of gold and silver ribbon and lace. Gota work is practiced by implementing an appliqué technique with a strip of gold or silver skillfully embroidered onto the fabric. A tedious and time-consuming process, Gota work is a difficult skill to master. Often creating a heavy appearance, it is actually quite light.

Zari Work

Zari work is the practice of weaving fine gold or silver threads, especially seen in traditional Indian outfits. Creating intricate patterns and ingenious designs, this art form in India has been in practice for centuries. Often associated with attire of the royalty, it exudes a regal charm.

Badla Work

The diversity on offer in our country is evident from the different weaving techniques we’ve inherited. Styling and shaping metallic thread into small specks or dots constitute the technique of Badla work.

Our first launch of the Festive ’22 Collection is scheduled for Thursday, 8th September 2022 at 11 AM (IST). Stay tuned.
